Fear Before the March of Flames
Okay so they’ve shorten their band name to Fear Before. In my opinion Fear Before the March of Flames was better but that’s besides the point. All it takes is some getting used to I suppose. Either ways this band is great and deserves some higher recognition.
Since their formation in 2002 till now, Fear Before’s sound has changed drastically and whether it was for the best or for the worst is a controversial topic. If you’re the kind of music listener who is more into mathcore and progressional rock, early Fear Before the March of Flames in for you. Therefore I recommend songs such as “Fashion Tips Baby,” “On the Brightside, She Could Choke,” and pretty much any song from their first album Odd How People Shake. If you’re more into experimental rock then their later work is more for you. Therefore I recommend songs such as “Fear Before Doesn’t Listen to People Who Don’t Like Them” and “My Fucking Deer Hunter.”
Still what makes this band stand out from many other bands is their noticeable sense of humor. From all the bands who I’ve researched, Fear Before has to be the one I’ve enjoyed looking through the most. Their pictures on their myspace are hilarious and the captions are rather funny too. If you ever find yourself with a little extra time and in a mood for a good laugh, then you should definitely consider looking through their myspace pictures.
